there are lots of things you say before you become parents... "i will NEVER..." "my child will..." "when i have children..." and of course our favorite serving of crow.... "i will NEVER give my child a pacifier." i guess what we are learning is that there is a time and a place for everything. thankfully she doesn't need it go to sleep and we don't have to pry it from her mouth. she actually not very good at it at all. most of the time she sort of knaws on it for a while before she figures it out. in any event, we would like to encourage all new parents out there.... those sayings, those plans -- throw them out... parenting is never exactly what you expected.

Isn't it a humbling experience??? We swore we weren't going to let Maddie watch TV and now we find ourselves praising God for the creators of Sesame Street. Just when you think you've got it all figured out...
Aubrey is getting so big. We really need to get together!
